At the ages of 8 and 10 I brought my two boys into the studio to experience some of the creative process that happens on a photography set. They concepted our day, starting with choosing the subject of avocado toast. They prepared and styled the food and props while working as a team to art direct each image. As a dad it was incredible to see their creative impulses expressed in the medium I work in. A humbling reminder that we each bring a unique perspective to every situation. Whether young or old, experienced or inexperienced, all perspectives have value.
